I heard recently that art is "the expression of one's gifts for the benefit of others." So if I am a good cook, and I bake wonderful cookies for other people, I am being an artist. If I am good with words, then when I use that ability to make someone feel warm and fuzzy, I am being an artist. Valentines from the heart, instead of from a store, are by their very nature "art"!

  2. Art should always remain part of nuturing a student's mind. It is in art that students can express themselves and help them think outside the box in everyday situations.
